Lessons
What should I wear?
If you plan to visit for an extended period, check out our Lake Tahoe Packing Guide, which gives an in-depth look at what to bring during any season. Otherwise, here are some quick tips to help you have a smooth day:

Warm Layers:
Wear a base layer (like long underwear), a mid-layer (thermal sweatshirt), and a warm, waterproof down jacket on top.

Snow Pants:
Even on warm days, wear waterproof pants.

Sun & Eye Protection:
The snow can reflect the sun, which can damage your eyes or cause sunburn. Bring sunscreen and wear goggles or UV-protected sunglasses.

Extremity Protection:
Wear gloves and warm socks. We also recommend hand/toe warmers.

Off The Snow:
Wear a helmet on snow, but consider wearing a winter hat and sunglasses before and after the lesson.

Are lift tickets and rentals included with my lesson?
No. lessons do not include lift tickets or equipment. Though, you have the option to purchase a rental package and/or a lift ticket at a discounted rate whilepurchasingyour lesson.

What if I need a break?
Take a break whenever you need. If you need more breaks than those allotted for the group, simply inform the instructor and determine a meeting point so you don't lose them. Your instructor will notify you about restroom locations at the beginning of the lesson.

Can I leave my lesson early? Can I pick up my child early?

You may leave early so long as you don't disturb the class. However, if you choose to leave early, you will not be eligible for any type of refund. We encourage you to stay for the entire class. You must have the check-in claim ticket to pick up your child/children.

The instructor may not have time to discuss your child's progress unless you arrive after the class concludes. If your child does not want to ski or snowboard once the lesson starts, we may call a parent/guardian. We can process a credit depending on what time the parent/guardian picks the child up, and we will charge a processing fee in this scenario.

Can I tip my instructor?
Instructors will not expect tips, but they always appreciate them.

What if I am running late?
Please refer to our parking guide to ensure you arrive on time. We understand traffic may prevent an on-time arrival on rare occasions.

If you are late, we will not be able to accommodate you for your scheduled time. However, if you are late for a morning lesson, we will try to fit you in an afternoon lesson. Otherwise, please call 1-800-403-0206 to reschedule.
