Welcome to the Land of Legendary Adventure
Hailed as the #1 ski resort in the United States by the Wall Street Journal, Palisades Tahoe is known for its 6,000 acres of uninterrupted legendary terrain. You don't have to choose between the high-octane energy and legacy of Palisades or the laid-back but adventurous vibe at Alpine. You have the ability to create your own adventure at these two distinctly different, neighboring mountains.

The Eighth Wonder Of The World

An awe-inspiring landscape that stands as a testament to nature's artistry. Situated beside Lake Tahoe, it is more than a mountain destination. It's an adventurer's haven, famous for its unique weather patterns that deliver unparalleled snow experiences.
One Connected Resort Experience

For years, skiers and riders have been forced to make a tough decision between the steeps, glades, and 3,600 skiable acres at Palisades or the down-home vibe, expansive bowls and hidden hike-to boundaries of Alpine. As of 2023, with the Base to Base Gondola, we no longer have to choose. Our two base areas are connected providing easy, uninterrupted access to our unique and varied terrain.
Reliable Annual Snowfall
Palisades Tahoe consistently boasts an impressive annual snowfall of 400 inches or more, making it a reliable haven. The resort's geographical location and elevation in the Sierra Nevada mountain range contribute to this remarkable snow accumulation.
See the Sierra Like Never Before
Choose from one of three enclosed lifts to access higher elevations. Palisades Tahoe is the only ski resort in North America with a Gondola, a Funitel, and an Aerial Tram. Climb thousands of vertical feet andtake in the breathtaking sights of the Sierra during the 16-minute journey. On the ride up, delight in the sweeping views of Granite Chief Wilderness, Lake Tahoe, and Palisades Tahoe’s legendary peaks.

This inviting, family-friendly lodge is easily accessible from the parking lot, has everything you need under one roof, and the lifts are just steps away. On sunny days, don't miss the impressive sun deck for outdoor après.

LAKE VIEWS

Need proof that Alpine has some of the best views of Lake Tahoe around? There’s a chairlift named Lakeview Chair—and it delivers on its name. You can catch panoramic sights of the lake from many vantage points around the mountain.
