    • Young Skiers Can Attack the Mountain, Hone Their Skills, and Perform at Their Highest Level—Based at Palisades.

This program is available to skiers ages 9 to 20 who want to ski hard and hone their skills. It is for all kids who love skiing for its inherent fun and challenge. Sport Team athletes have the opportunity to compete in our team’s Big Mountain Palisades Tahoe Cup events.

In addition to being a standalone ski improvement and fun program, the Freeride Team is a development program for athletes interested in progressing to the Palisades Tahoe Competition Team. The Palisades Tahoe Cup is fun for all participants and a fantastic introduction to competitive big-mountain skiing. A top-three finish in the Palisades Tahoe Cup can earn an athlete consideration for the Comp Team.

As Palisades Tahoe Big Mountain Ski Team members, all athletes can expect to gain knowledge in many areas. These areas include general alpine skiing skills, our legacy and history, equipment care and an introduction to tuning, big mountain ski technique and tactics, technical fundamentals, aerial skills, activation and warmup, an introduction to nutrition, big mountain protocol and etiquette, and all-mountain safety.

Team fees DO NOT include a season pass. Purchase of the Ikon Pass is required.
