What is Progression Sessions?

Progression Sessions is a community built for experienced snowboarders, where we share one truth, "there are no plateaus". Each event is pre-loaded with a set of skill-based goals, and complemented with a real world adventure. From off-piste workshops designed to access the whole mountain, to freestyle sessions curated for safe focused progression in the park. We provide a roadmap for movement supported by friendship and fun.


Event Description:

Freeride 1.0 "Shapes and Techniques"
In this workshop we explore the intricacies of managing pressure and redirecting momentum through the shape of your turns. So you can ride more terrain at faster speeds with greater control and style. Over the course of 2 days we’ll aim to cover three types of turns:

1. Dynamic skidded turns, where you’ll learn how to control your speed early in the turn resulting in less chatter and a smoother line.
2. Dynamic carved turns, where you’ll learn how to redirect your momentum uphill allowing you to keep that pencil line as the speed increases.
3. Pivot Slips, where you’ll learn how to turn in a short space without travelling across the mountain, the foundation of navigating chutes and moguls.

Video analysis and performance mapping are a couple of the many methods our coaches will use to ensure you're set up for a season full of fun. If you're excited about accessing more of the mountain with confidence and style, or you're an experienced rider and your progression has plateaued, this workshop is a must!

• Adults ages 18+
• Snowboarders Only
• Designed for intermediate to advanced SNOWBOARDERS who can confidently ride all blue terrain
