Beacon Bash with Alpenglow Expeditions

Join Alpenglow Expeditions for a few hours of beacon practice at Alpine Meadows / Palisades Tahoe. This event is designed to keep skiers and riders up to date on best practices and gear for avalanche rescue. Suitable for both in bounds and out of bounds skiers, our AMGA trained guides will prepare you for the unthinkable.

Learning outcomes include:

• Describe what to do in the event of an avalanche incident.
• Identify and be able to use gear necessary for avalanche rescue.
• Set up a realistic scenario in order to practice an avalanche rescue response.
• Improve response skills and times during and after the course with feedback from instructors and peers.
• Develop a plan for continued practice.
