The Aerial Tram is closed for the summer and will reopen for winter on November 27th


This panoramic 10-minute ride soars above the iconic Tram Face, offering stunning mountain vistas and beautiful views of Lake Tahoe itself, ending at Palisades Tahoe's High Camp. High Camp is located at 8,200 feet above sea level. Once you get up to High Camp, you will find dining establishments, displays and museums, and some of the best panoramic views in the Sierra Nevada.

Summer/Fall Operations for the Aerial Tram


Open Friday-Sunday 10am-4:20pm.5pm is the last download to The Village.Individuals who hike the Shirley Canyon Trail to High Camp can take the Aerial Tram back down for free when the Tram is operating.


All hours of operation are subject to change based upon weather & conditions.
Do I get Friends & Family Tickets from my Ikon Pass?


Yes, you can use your 25% discount for Aerial Tram tickets with your valid 2024/25 Ikon Pass.


Can I ride the Aerial Tram for free with my Ikon Pass?


Yes. If you have a 2024/25 Ikon Pass, you can ride the Tram for free. If you do not already have a valid ticket or pass, you must purchase sightseeing tickets online or in-person.


Is there food at High Camp?



High Camp Marketplace
offers grab-n-go items as well as coffee, accessories, and merchandise.


Can I bring my dog on the Aerial Tram?


We do not allow dogs on the Aerial Tram during the winter season. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome in the summertime.
