    • What Couples Say About Their Perfect Day at Palisades Tahoe.

Thank you for making our wedding so much fun! We have no complaints, a 10/10 experience all around. We got so many compliments from our guests about the food, drinks and cake. Thank you to the food and beverage team--you did amazing. Mercedes was the best! She knows High Camp so well and her calm and collected demeanor made the whole process much less stressful. We could not have pulled this off without here. Jenna was amazing! She answered all of our (many) questions with patience and knowledge.
      Emma P. (April 2023 Wedding)

Thank you so much, we had an amazing time the day couldn't have been better!
      Christopher P. (May 2023 Wedding)

Everyone was very friendly and helpful, we greatly appreciate all the hard work. Emi cared for us as people and was the perfect conference planner. She was communicative, kind, helpful, and compassionate. We absolutely adore her and can’t thank her enough for all her hard work and help. Not only did I love the food, but our guests constantly raved about the quality of food they ate, especially the meat and the hors d’oeuvres.
      Alanna B (May 2023 Wedding)

We want to sincerely thank you for making our wedding day even better than we dreamed it could be. All of our guests were blown away by the view and the ceremony. We really just had the best experience and the happiest wedding weekend at Palisades - everything was truly perfect. Weeks later, our guests are still raving about the venue and the food! From both of us and our families, thank you so much!!

We wanted to take a minute to reach out and THANK you and your team for making our wedding so special! …High Camp was a dream. We are still getting compliments on all the food, views and overall atmosphere that Palisades provided. Destination weddings can be stressful and we were so elated with how the weekend went. Can’t wait to come back and visit.
      Kaley & Conner M. (September 2023 Wedding)

Thank you so very much! We really appreciate everyone at Palisades for being so amazing every step of the way. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
      Hailee S. (October 2023 Wedding)

Planning a multi-day Indian wedding is challenging, but planning a destination Indian wedding in Tahoe came with an incredible number of benefits and challenges. Somehow, the wedding and event coordination team at Palisades managed to take on 200 out-of-town guests and 3 days of events and turn it into the best weekend of our lives! From the attentive guest experience for our friends and family staying on-site to curating a brand new Indian fusion menu for our mountaintop Sangeet, Mercedes and her team went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Our guests are still talking about how incredible our locations were (Sangeet at High Camp, Ceremony in front of Olympic Valley Lodge and Reception inside the lodge) and I still can't believe how lucky we were to find our dream venue. Every single person we worked with went out of their way to work with us and our families and did it with the most positive, professional and proactive mentality that made us feel so comfortable and excited. Choose Palisades and I guarantee you'll have the best possible guest experience and scenery for your big day!
      Sarah N. (September 2022 Wedding)

Where to begin!! We got married here on 7/23/22 and had the absolute BEST experience. My mom and I looked at six venues in early summer 2021 before booking Palisades Tahoe High Camp (previously Sq**w valley). From the initial tour, Jenna did an amazing job of answering all my questions and setting appropriate expectations for the wedding day with backup plans should the weather not cooperate for High Camp. Eventually we transitioned over to Mercedes as our venue coordinator and we couldn’t be more thrilled about our experience working with her. She made everything as seamless as possible and was willing to accommodate some unique touches we requested (hanging our Michigan flag at high camp, serving our favorite coffee, etc.). Everyone raved about the food (we chose the buffet for timeline purposes and it turned out beautifully) and we couldn’t be happier with the service provided across the board—from the tram operators to the servers and bartenders. They were super accommodating for allergies as well (I’m gluten free and my sister is dairy free). We also booked our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Base Camp and had a great experience. It was the perfect space for hosting that type of event! Overall, we had our dream wedding and that wouldn’t have been possible without this venue!!
      Lindsay F. (August 2022)

We had the most amazing wedding and team though Palisades at the Olympic Village Event Center. The night before we had our rehearsal at the venue and rehearsal dinner at the BarOne Patio. We were one of the many Covid couples who had to postpone, and Palisades worked with us through the entire process to make everything great. Even though they had some turnover on their team over the past 2 years, they were always very responsive and kept us up to date with any of their team changes. Though there were other weddings or events on other days of the weekend, the team was so amazing and made us feel like we were the only ones. The bar pricing was very reasonable for the quality, the food was amazing (we’ve heard from many attendees that it’s the best wedding food they’ve ever had), and their service staff and team were so friendly and helpful. Special shout-out to Mercedes and Caitlin for giving us such an amazing day we’ll never forget.
      Emily R. (July 2022)

Our wedding and reception at high camp were perfect! Shannon, our coordinator, was so hard working and amazing. She went above and beyond and helped put our minds at ease. The bartenders and waitstaff were incredible, service was amazing. My sister-in-law stepped away from cocktail hour to breastfeed her son and one of them saw her and brought her a tray of the appetizers! The views of course are gorgeous and our guests loved the tram ride and scenery! Would absolutely recommend!
      Katie O. (June 2022)

We had an amazing wedding, many thanks to the PT team!
      Lexi Harvey, Summer 2021 Wedding

Thank you! It was an amazing day and I give so much props to the Squaw team for making our day perfect and stress-free. Shout out to Shannon.
      Christina Tin, Summer 2021 Wedding

Our wedding and reception at high camp were perfect! We had our coordinator switched up on us 2 months before the wedding but it all went smoothly. Hank, September 2021 Wedding

      Kim, September 2021 Wedding

We had an absolutely amazing time and the Palisades team took fantastic care of us through all the wildness of the last 2 years. So many memories and we now have an amazing place to come visit to remember our big day. Thanks again for everything! It's been an amazing memory that we will never forget.
      Daren, September 2021 Wedding

We were just married 10/1/21 at Olympic Valley Lodge and it was everything we envisioned! The venue itself is so stunning you really don’t need to do much to create the perfect wedding setting. We worked with Jenna, Caitlin and Tyler who all delivered high quality service! The ceremony lawn and views are insane and OLV is just meant to host a cozy wedding space. The location of the venue to the village is so convenient for lodging and makes it super easy to make a whole weekend out of the wedding with things to do around the area. If you love being in the mountains, I would recommend this venue to you!
      Emily, October 2021 Wedding

Getting married at Palisades was an absolute dream. The staff, the food, the view, the atmosphere, everything was simply amazing. I can't say thank you enough.
      Courtney, October 2021 Wedding

    • How do I secure my wedding venue & date at Palisades Tahoe?
A nonrefundable deposit of 25% of total contracted revenue is required to confirm your date, along with a signed contract. A second deposit of another 25% payment will be due 270 days out and a third deposit of the remaining 50% will be due 180 days out. Therefore, the contracted event revenue is paid in full 6 months prior to the wedding date. The final guest count and final estimated event balance will be due 14 days prior to the wedding date.

When do I pay the final wedding balance?
Your final estimated balance is due 2 weeks prior to your wedding event date, along with your final guest count. The estimated balance will depend upon your final guest count and your final food & beverage details. It will also include applicable service charges, taxes, and fees. Your previously paid deposits will be applied as credit towards the estimated event balance that is due. Within one week after your wedding event, our accounting team will send your final invoice. The final invoice will reflect your actualized event details, the remaining balance due or the credit amount due back to you.

Who will help me plan my wedding?
When reserving your wedding at Palisades Tahoe, you will be working with an Event Manager to guide you on your journey to the perfect day. The Event Manager will help you finalize details that Palisades Tahoe services. However, you are required to hire a professional wedding planner (at least a day of/month out coordinator). The hired wedding planner will help you with your design, vendor organization, setup of personal décor and details, ceremony walk & run-through, orchestrating the event timeline, and more. Please contact the Sales Manager to understand the difference between a venue event manager vs a wedding planner/coordinator.

What is a Food & Beverage minimum?

A Food and Beverage Minimum is the least amount of money that you are required to spend in a combination of food and beverage details. The minimum spend is before applicable service charge, taxes, and fees. All of your desired food and beverage menu selections and details will contribute towards the food and beverage minimum spend requirement.

What is included in the venue rental fee?

Please refer to the list of event inclusions located on the venue page or within your event contract. Please contact a rental company for upgraded furniture, décor, and enhancements.

Can the wedding couple include their fur baby at the wedding?

Yes, pets can attend outdoor ceremony events. Pets must be always supervised and on a leash. Pets cannot be left unattended. It is your responsibility to pick up after your pet. Resort will provide pet waste bags and a receptacle for proper disposal. Resort will provide water for pets upon request. It is each pet owner’s responsibility to furnish their own pet food, which must be stored in a wildlife-resistant container. Village at Palisades Tahoe is not a pet-friendly lodging facility.

Do you offer a Wedding Tasting?
Palisades Tahoe holds two wedding tasting events per year, and each contracted wedding couple receives two complimentary tickets to one tasting event. Four (4) additional guests are allowed to join at an additional cost per person, plus service charge, tax, and fees. If you would like a menu tasting on a different date, or have a specific custom menu, the charge for a separate tasting is a required fee per person, including the wedding couple. Separate tasting appointments are subject to availability, additional costs, and are not guaranteed.

Can we rehearse our Ceremony the day before the wedding?
If a ceremony rehearsal is needed for your wedding, this may be scheduled based on availability as early as 30-days prior to the scheduled Wedding Date. The Ceremony rehearsal site is included at no additional cost. Rehearsals are scheduled so as not to interfere with other ceremonies and events. A rehearsal the day before your scheduled wedding ceremony is not guaranteed, and it is possible the rehearsal will not be scheduled at the same time of day as the wedding and/or the same space. Resort requires the coordination of the rehearsal and ceremony be performed by your wedding officiate or your hired professional wedding coordinator.

Do you offer discounted lodging to my wedding guests?
The Village at Palisades Tahoe is pleased to offer you and your guests a courtesy discount. The discount will be off the public rate, based on the availability of inventory at the time of the lodging reservation request. Once a wedding contract is secured, we will create a specific lodging link you and your guests will use to book discounted reservations. The courtesy discount does not hold any guest rooms for your attendees. These rooms and rates are available on a space available basis only, so we always urge you to tell your guests to book as early as possible.

Can I bring in my own display items and decoration?
Yes, you may bring in décor to the space as long as it is non-damaging and non-permanent, and must be approved by our Event Management Team. We recommend hiring a third-party vendor to help you with additional décor items. Please refer to our Preferred Vendor List. You or your third-party vendor are responsible for setting up and tearing down these decorations and this must be done within your setup & teardown times. Open flame candles are not permitted. Please have your exact candle/hurricane/container configuration approved in advance by our Event Management Team. We do not allow the affixing of anything to the walls, floor, or ceilings of the function rooms with nails, staples, or other damaging permanent substance. Glitter, metal confetti, bird seed, and rice are prohibited.

When do I need to tell you my food & beverage details and my final guest count?
Final food and beverage orders must be submitted no later than 30 days prior to your event. Final event details must also be submitted no later than 30 days prior. All final guest counts are to be submitted no later than (14) days prior to your wedding event date.

How will I remember all of my wedding details with Palisades Tahoe?
Details for your wedding event are produced on a separate document known as the Banquet Event Order. Your venue event manager at Palisades Tahoe will help you finalize the wedding menu, bar details, space diagram, and other necessary wedding details. Then you will review all details on the Banquet Event Order and approve with your signature.

Can I bring in my own food and/or beverages?
No outside food or beverages can be brought into the function event space by you or any of your guests. We have an excellent Chef team and Pastry Chef who can create incredible menus, custom menus, and wedding cakes or dessert options for your event.

Can I bring in my own wedding cake and/or desserts?
Yes, desserts and cake can be made as an exception for you to bring in on your own. However, please understand that if you bring in your own dessert such as cake, there are considerations and restrictions to remember, see below. Added fees will apply.

      1. Cake cutting fee will apply to full guest count.
      2. Resort will not store the outside desserts/cake, specifically before or after the Wedding.
      3. Resort will not transport desserts/cake throughout the Resort and to your Venue.
      4. Resort will not set up desserts/cake.
      5. Resort will only service the desserts/cake for a fee and serve at a stationed table.
      6. Client must sign off on an outside food waiver form and Client must have the appropriate wedding event insurance.

We hope that you consider our wonderful in-house Pastry Chef to provide your cake / desserts. In-house desserts/cake will also contribute towards your Food & Beverage minimum spend requirement. Leave it to our experts to create your dessert/cake vision, make it, store it, transport it, set it up, and serve it to your guests.

Who provides the microphone, speakers, and music for my wedding event?
Your hired DJ and/or Band should offer a general wedding package that will provide this service for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. A microphone and speaker are typically used for the outside ceremony and cocktail hour events. Then, a larger speaker system and microphone are used inside for the dinner reception and dancing. These entertainment vendors should provide all of the required equipment when hired for a wedding, including their own lights, speakers, electrical cords, microphones, etc.

What is the transportation to the mountain top venue, High Camp? And am I guaranteed a High Camp wedding experience?
The 8.5-minute ride on the large Aerial Tram is the only transportation to the mountain top venue. The Tram can accommodate 110 passengers; however, it is more comfortable with 40-50 passengers. An Event Tram fee of $4,000.00 is required to access the High Camp Venue. This fee shall be removed and returned to the wedding couple should inclement weather force a change to a mountainside backup venue. You are not guaranteed your preferred High Camp venue due to potential risks that may impact the aerial tram operations. You must be willing and accepting of the backup venue options and location. The backup venue plan will need to be planned concurrently with your preferred High Camp venue plan. The final venue decision will be made 24 hours prior to your event start time and the Resort reserves the right to make the final decision as necessary for safety protocols.

What is private for my event?
Resort personnel will direct you and your guests to the venue facilities that are designated for your event. While your event venue will be designated for your ceremony during your booked timeframe, there may be other members of the public on mountain enjoying Resort facilities and amenities. We ask that all guests extend courtesy to each other and to all Resort personnel so that everyone’s experience is a treasured memory. Resort public and your guests are expected to observe all posted signs, policies, rules, and regulations. Violators will, in the discretion of Resort management, be escorted out of the Resort.

Are there any getting ready rooms on-site or does the wedding party get ready in their hotel rooms?
There are no dedicated or complimentary get ready rooms. The couple will get ready in their hotel room, or someone’s room that is already planned for their accommodations. We often see the wedding parties and/or parents get a larger suite for their lodging accommodation and then allow for it as the get ready room.

Is there transportation to/from the Reno Airport to the Resort?
There is not a complimentary shuttle service. However, you may hire Palisades Tahoe transportation shuttles to provide for your guests to/from the Reno Airport to our Resort. Alternative transportation options to consider. North Lake Tahoe Express and North Tahoe Executive Shuttle allow guests to arrange for their own airport transportation,

Can you help explain the required Client Event Insurance?
We recommend up to $2M in coverage, yet we require at least $1M, which is usually the lowest plan offer. Please take time to research insurance company options. A few suggestions to consider are listed below:
WedSure – specific wedding insurance option
WedSafe – specific wedding insurance option
Traveler’s, Progressive, Farmers, etc. – they can contact their personal insurance company to look into options they offer

Important to note: We are not affiliated with any insurance company, nor do we recommend a specific company. Clients must do their due diligence and obtain the right insurance for their needs.
